Row 25, Plot 12, APPLING, Alma



Alma, 44, of Sheridan died at the home of her daughter Wilma Lee Appling Clement in Pine Bluff.  She was born in Jefferson County near the Double Wells community.  She was the daughter of Nathaniel David "Dee" and Martha "Mattie" Simpson Ginnett (they are buried in Lee Cemetery).

She was a member of the Methodist Church.  She was married to Harvey Appling.  They had one daughter, Wilma Lee Appling Clement.  She had two sisters, Rose Ginnett Appling (buried in Graceland Cemetery) and Nancy Hattie Ginnett Clement (buried in Clement Cemetery) and three brothers, Lon (buried in Memorial Park Cemetery), Oscar and June Ginnett (both buried in Lee Cemetery).  

Her graveside service was held with Rev. Scott and Paul Fox officiating.  Active pallbearers were B. W. Young, Ray Goosby, Ross Roberts, N.D. Hubbard, Fred Mathis, Robert Ross, Frank E. Wood, Dee Morris, and Pick Clement.  Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family.
