Row 3, Plot 4, RACKLEY, Martha (Walker)


Martha Walker Rackley, 71, of White Hall, died Tuesday at the White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born July 21, 1931, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late Euel L. and Myrtie Clement Walker.

Mrs. Rackley was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.

Mrs. Rackley was a charter member of Central Baptist Church where she was the pianist for thirty-five years, a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and served as financial secretary of the church.  She was a member and past president of the International Toastmistress Club of the Pine Bluff Arsenal and a former member of the Opportunity Chapter of the ABWA (American Business Woman Association) and the Amaranth.

She had worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for thirty years, retiring in April of 1993 as a Program Analyst in the Directorate of Manufacturing operations at the Arsenal.  

She enjoyed her church family and her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by and infant son and an infant daughter.

Mrs. Rackley is survived by her two daughters, Terri Gage of Pine Bluff and M. Michele Robertson of White Hall; a brother, James D. Walker, of Pine Bluff; two grandsons, Johnathan Robertson and David Robertson, both  of White Hall.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 7, 2003, a 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Gary Akers officiating.  Internment will be in Clement Cemetery, Grapevine, AR.  The family will receive friends at Robinson's from 6-8 pm Thursday evening.
