Sarah Elizabeth Waddle, born and raised in Grant County, Arkansas, became ill and passed away at the age of 31. Three months after Sarah died handy passed away at the age of 30.
They had 5 young girls: Margaret "Maggie" R. Fikes, Lucinda "Lou" R. Spharler, Susan "Annie" R. Crosby, Virginia "Virgie" R. Wells, and Mary R. Wofford.
They were raised by their aunt Marrgarret Louise Reed (possibly Handy's sister) and her husband James Andrew Lowe.
Lucinda Reed married Charles W. Spharler. she was 77 when she died at Davis Hospital. she and Charles had a son, Clarence Spharler. She is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery near White Hall, AR..
