Row 9, Plot 27, KITE, Susannah (Clement)

Susannah was 42 when she died.  She was born in Georgia.  She came to Jefferson-Grant County, Arkansas with her brother James W. Clement and his wife Clarinda Trammel Clement around the mid 1850's.  

Their father may have been a John Clement who lived in Georgia when they left.  

Susannah married Dr.Noah Kite and they had one daughter, Mattie Kite and one son, Roosevelt Kite.  

After Susannah's death Noah lived with relatives and kept his medical practice.  He later married Mary Lawrence.  He is buried somewhere off Lee Springs Road near where you go into the bottoms on the North side.

Susannah's is the oldest burial, 1864,  in this cemetery.
