Veo "Big" died at the age of 72 at JRMC. He was born in Grant Co. the son of John Manson "Mannie" and Florence Cearley Clement. He retired at the Cotton Belt RR as a switchman after 40 years of service. He was a member of South Side Baptist Church, a member of Taylor Masonic Lodge #206 and the United Transportation Union.
He had one son Manson Clement and a daughter LeAnne Clement Davis. He married Marnelle Norton Clement on Aug 15, 1969. Funeral services were held by Ralph Robinsons with Rev. Dale Gentry and Dr. J.R. Debush officiating.
