Oscar "Punk" was 84 when he died at JRMC.. He was a son of John Franklin and Mary Cornelia Smith Clement.
He owned and operated a sawmill for several years. He and Onie owned and operated Clement's Grocery Store in downtown Grapevine unitil he retired in the 1970's and moved back to the old home place on Clement Cemetery Road.
Punk married Onie Parker on April 28, 1928. Onie was born at Randall the daughter of Carl Franklin and Mamie Lafayette Woodill. Her family moved to Jefferson County and she graduated from Watson Chapel High School.
She became postmaster of Grapevine Post Office in the early 1950's and retired in the 1970's.
They had no children but raised Anna Mae Clement, Mannie and Florence Clements youngest daughter.
Both Oscar and Onie were members of Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Funerals were by Ralph Robinson's with Rev. Dale Gentry officiating.
